Looking for contract work in Europe/UK

Hi all,

I’m an experienced low level Helicopter Pilot (Spraying, Spreading, HESLO, Utility) with both the EASA and UKCAA CPL(H), I’m based in New Zealand and have spent the last 10 odd summers in the UK contracting.

I’m looking for work for the 26 summer in Europe or the UK.

I’m after any info on companies that maybe interested in a contract pilot for the Summer, any information appreciated.

Cheers,

Agpilot

Id try the obvious PDG, or Skyhook. Based in Scotland, but if you've spent previous years as contract pilot, i'm guessing you will be well aware of these guys.....

Do you have any right to work in Europe?

Thanks, and yeah I Know those guys. I’m more unsure of companies that may be interested in contractors for the summer in Europe.

Cheers,

Yeah I do.

What languages do you speak ? You most likely need a level 4 or above entry in your license for every country. They don't let me do fire fighting in Spain or Portugal because of missing language capabilities. Don't even ask about France.

I guess so:

spent the last 10 odd summers in the UK contracting
But, I'm quite intrigued how (and EU at the same time)!

Well that should be an exam question I guess as it seems like a useless bit of information that will keep you pondering 🤔

Not saying it's the case, but people with a Republic of Ireland passport can live and work in both the UK and EU unhindered.

Yes, that had also occurred to me that maybe he is an immigrant to NZ - mystery solved!

Hi all,

Just checking if anyone has any leads or suggestions of companies in Europe worth contacting for work for the Summer. I’m still on the hunt for something.

Cheers,

Agpilot

Thanks for your concern of my attitude 😀

The comment was made as to the helpfulness of their question. I’m probably not that worried if you took offence to this 😂

Getting back to the real reason I’m on here….

I’ve added this post to the forum to see if anyone within Europe has any helpful information as I haven’t worked in Europe before but have the ability to and in my offseason thought that it maybe mutually beneficial for myself and an operator to get some work done. I’m not sure if the current situation in Europe is in need of experienced utility pilots or not as they are in short supply downunder!

Not to worry, I guess if there’s no need for this experienced pilot, I’ll just have to take myself to the islands for our winter and sit on the beach as planned instead😀

Apologies for the responses you are getting Ag. Like you I have a number of licences and passports and 3 languages so worked around the globe but the flat earthers could never understand that was possible. I worked often for PDG in UK and various Spanish bombero operations. I see that Elitellina in Portugal are looking for AS350 pilots as are Sermeq in Greenland, SAF in Turkey, Scandair in Scandinavia and HBG in Switzerland. Pegasus in Spain are often looking for contract firefighting pilots too although that tends to be Bell412. Good luck mate.

Thanks for your reply and information Same again. Yeah I find it interesting how the question for information became a “how is this possible” and an assessment of my attitude due to my reply, anyway. Cheers

Probably due to UK’s departure from the EASA brotherhood - which saw an awkward divorce that was crassly handled so U.K. licence holders seemed to get the !!!!ty end. Hats off to anyone who has retained their ‘touring’ capability!

Dont bother on here mate. Mostly full of ex military and off shore guys!!
They don't get the contracting. You tick all the box’s.

Good Luck
