Canadian Training Stats

In 2012 ,CBC news state only 12 people gained a Commercia Helicopter licence.
This appears to be an error. I'm told it was closer to 280 with about 100 being
foreign licence conversions.

Would anyone have the stats or an idea of the real stats for 2023
and the future outlook?
PM's appreciated

Strange that the explanation for not being able to proved such statistics beyond 2108 is "due to COVID and other technical issues"!?

The stats provided are totals so those dropping or gaining their CPL-H can't be worked out. But the trend doesn't look good: down from around 3000 to around 2750 over the timeframe shown. In comparison PPL-H was climbing, but from a smaller base of about 600 to about 700 in 2018. About only category that showed a healthy trend was ATPL-A from about 12000 to 14000 between 2007 and 2018. I wonder whether the drop in totals in ATPL-A in 2014 is real or a data error?

Yet Canadian companies don't want to sponsor work visa for foreigners.
