EASA SE-IR(H)

Good day!

I was told talking with an instructor in a flight school that EASA would change the regulation to enable schools to train the IR in a single-engine helicopter.

Even though, doing research once in a while, I don't find any school that provides this training yet. It comes to a surprise to me since I thought that the first school to offer it would absorb all the students for the reduction in price.

Does anyone know if the legislation was finally implemented?
Any school that offers the course?

Any info about the matter would be appreciated.
Thanks for any help.

I know someone who has been waiting to ‘complete’ their IR with them for approaching a year after many cancelled tests due to IRE unavailability, aircraft unserviceabilities etc. Their original test was booked for late 2022… as far as I’m aware to this day it still hasn’t happened.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Send me a PM if you like. My company has an ATO which conducts SE IR(H) training with a 206. NL based.

Hi!

I converted from military to EASA at proflight nordic in Norrtälje.
They use B206L for this.

Given the merits that many of us who have flown offshore saw in SE IR(H) it's good to see it as an option for aspiring P2's again.
Can we widen the conversation and give a rough cost for each?
I note Proflight advertise 35 hours FNPT and 10 in 206L, where Aerial in Austria 40 plus 10 in airframe and also 5 extra for night if not held.
DHD in Hamburg also offer this but in a nicely equipped 206B with G500 IFR avionics https://www.dhd-heliservice.com/irh.
But you do 20 hours in the actual airframe there.

It's between €44000 and €46000 for the practical IR plus €8000 to €10000 for a 206 rating if not held.

Surely the intent of any change in regulation would be to certify single engine piston helicopters for IFR training, making IR training more achievable? Either following the US model of allowing IR training in a VFR machine or actually certify an R44.
