An interesting insight in to the world of super medium and heavy aircraft.

Thanks for posting.

Also the pool of experience is getting smaller to actually crew the aircraft! Starting to see more adverts including the type rating provided for the right candidate. I saw an advert for the GOM with a $50 k sign on bonus.

The messaging coming out of the leasing companies at HAI was that they expect the supply chain to fail this year because of the combination of excess demand, lack of parts from the OEMs and poor contracting conditions from the end users. There could also be a recession though so it's not clear which path we are on at the moment. Everyone is waiting on demand and reliable data from China's reopening to see exactly how much the oil price swings.

Looks like the oil companies are going have to spend some of their profits on larger contracts to the offshore helicopter companies....oh wait a second...

Years of racing to the bottom and now its time to reap what the industry has sown.

I am sure its a bit more complex than my statement but it feels right.
