EC120 Component Costs.
 

I notice a few historical threads on similar topics but thought I would put it out there again in 2022.

Based in Australia, I own an EC120 coming up for a 12 yearly. Being a 1999 model there is a bit to do and will be looking for TR Gearbox, Epicycle and Main Gearbox. Will probably put some new perspex and and paint on while I'm at it. I am looking for ideas from anyone that I can get components from. The whole buy outright v's 2nd billing seems pretty scary and am interested in other owners experiences (good or bad). Any leads or ideas greatly appreciated

Can somebody also explain, why the TR Gearbox, Epicycle and Main Gearbox needs changning. is it a 24yr calendar life item?
so does second building means a 12yr Gearbox overhaulled and that can run another 12yrs?

Wish you well and please pm me as to how it all turns out. Just did 40 hours in 120 on a travelling holiday, very underated machine shame they are not still being made.
My only advice would be to not put any trust in the 15 yr + ext fixed overhaul cost to recalander the engine, it most likely will end in tears.
Sorry I don't have any costs for you, couple of guys in Queensland can do the work if interested.
