Good advice given at 4 min 13 sec on video

A nice night rescue by these guys. Practice makes perfect. The instructions at 4:13 are good for most any emergency. All kidding aside, its the only way to avoid having someone slip out of a horse collar. There will always be a time and place for short haul. If there had been 6 guys and a bigger helicopter a hoist would have been best but this was perfect.

Agree. Strong work.

Yes, it was good work - anyone know if that was single pilot plus a crewman in the cabin or two pilot op?

My only slight operational criticism would be that he shouldn't attach the firemen to the karabiner until they are fully secured in their jackets/collar just before lift - if the helicopter drifts or has a problem, they would all be dragged with it, not properly prepared.

it’s a B407 - just looked it up but assumed so from the rotor signature. SP plus two crew: https://www.sonomasheriff.org/about-helicopter-unit
