lumbar support
Any recommendations for a portable lumbar support ? Just started doing a lot of AS 350 flying, who ever designed the seats must be a direct descendent of a medieval torturer !
Something like the mil issued to 341 pilots Cheers |
Have a look at this: https://www.physioroom.com/product/P...IaAnBKEALw_wcB
I've got something similar and it helps me. |

I'm still using mine! The green cover wore through so I've changed that a few times but the cushion still works a treat. I still remember going to some RAF base to be measured up for it. As I have never known a helicopter with a comfy seat I have used it in many types since and in a 212 I needed that and a sheepskin bum cushion! :-) Still using it in a 139.

Been using one of these for about 5 years now. Inflatable, therefore easy to travel with.

wild-ass cushion
I have been using this cushion: https://www.wild-ass.com/store/Pilli...hion-p70879438 when flying 500. Great aircraft, but with my 186cm after few hours the seat sucks. I used to change the cushion position from back to bottom depending on soreness of those body parts.

The Scout had very comfy leather seats |
I souvenired the kidney pad from a Martin Baker departure lounge, put some straps with velcro ends on it, and it worked a treat. But still ended up with Lumbar spondylosis.
