I used to do these kinds of flights and I can assure you those doing the giving get as much enjoyment as those who are on the receiving end!

If you have a helicopter....give it a try sometime!

You will wish you had done so sooner.

I do it quite frequently. I just flew some NASA "ACE" camp kids two weeks ago, and periodically fly at EAA Young Eagles rallies. Haven't flown any veterans like that, though.

The one that got to me was a 13 year old boy that was dealing with Leukemia....a week after I gave him and his parents a really good ride at Mount St. Helens.....he passed away.

Seeing the smiles on that child's face were simply magic!

Remember on one occasion a son wanted his Father to have a short ride in a Gazelle I had.
Looking at the passenger I had to ask if his dad was somewhat fit.
His reply was a determining factor in having to say sorry but its a NO to the request.
'Dads had a couple of heart attacts but otherwise he's ok'.
It appears that this 500c is duelled up - wonder if the medical question was asked ?

I fly Bader Braves kids every year. Very rewarding day out.
