Best charts/flt planning app for EU?

Hi guys.

Currently using foreflight in the USA for VFR ops, jepps charts for IFR ops.

what’s the best app equivalent for Foreflight flying around Europe? VFR and IFR.

While Foreflight is currently rolling out in Europe, its charts are not quite as good as competitors' yet. I would suggest looking at either SkyDemon or RunwayHD.

I use both for helicopter VFR flight, and have a preference for RunwayHD (which has more features). Both allow you to file flight plans directly from your ipad/device.

Second for skydemon. Decent bit of kit and decent coverage for some of the rest of the world as well.

I use Air Navigation Pro https://airnavigation.aero/
as my personal backup source.
All I need is the free chart, the eleveation and the aeronautical database for about 30 € / year - which displays all the important informations like airspaces, freq and so on.

Thought you were working fixed wing in the states , you looking to jump back to helicopters in europe now ?

got a new gig flying a gulfstream and an EC135, so dual rated gig based out of the USA. Helicopter ops are are mix of IFR and VFR worldwide so looking for a decent app to cover EU ops. Fixed wing ops we have jepps worldwide coverage.

Is anybody using or has used Skydemon in Greece? I'm flying here for the summer season and will be using it later in Germany as well, once I return. I used to have Airnav through my former employer but I would need several updates (database, charts.....) to keep it current so I thought about getting SD (tried it last year in Germany and liked it very much). Any thoughts/ experience?
