An AS350B3 of Flex Air Charters is reported to have crashed in the Lake Nakuru National Park. The pilot and 4 passengers are not thought to have survived

Another source who sought anonymity said the five including the pilot appeared drunk when they arrived at the lodge that fateful morning.

One of the greatest Oz pilots, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, would bring a flask of brandy on his flights, and had often been considered a bit p155ed on his other flights. Mind you, being the first to fly nonstop across the Pacific in the 1930s would make anybody want a shot.

My mother had a joyride with Smithy, paid 2 pounds (a LOT of money then) and loved it.
