Frank Sinatra Alouette II

I am trying to establish the identity of the Alouette II that Frank Sinatra owned/operated. Very few photos exist (that I can locate)but one shows the chopper, head on, and has F S (vertically painted in bamboo style font) on the nose. Registration and/or serial number will be helpful.

Google is your friend, Frank Sinatra had not only one AL II,
https://www.google.co.th/search?q=he...oqml_yjN7pSBM:
Frank Sinatra boarding one of two of his helicopter for his commute from Burbank to the LA airport, after which he takes a jet to his Palm Springs home.

Am I mistaken - or are those a Hughes 300 and a Hiller...?

One of them is an Alouette I think...

treadigraph, that is the one in your shot, I understood it to be an Alouette II not I. Looks like the registration is on the side panel just near the standing guys right hand. Can anyone read it off ?

N53. Which narrows that particular aircraft down to one of four SE3130 Alouette 2s:
  • N532 (s/n 1145)
  • N533 (s/n 1146)
  • N534 (s/n 1137)
  • N537 (s/n 1150)

I took a photo of one at Van Nuys Airport many years ago.
I'll check my collection for it and post it.

Frank Sinatra's Alouette II at Van Nuys

I took this photo at Van Nuys Airport during March 1966.
Everyone there agreed that the helicopter belonged to Frank Sinatra.
At the bottom of the photo and in front of the red truck there is a long black limousine. Did it belong to him?
The helicopter was picking up a sling load with its hook.
It also had a winch attached.
The helicopters color was overall white with a red strip below the cabin. Red door frames and a red winch.
Where the battery is located behind the fuel tank there is a red chevron vee shaped. On the fuel tank there is a gray square with, I think the number 58C in black.
No "N" in front of the 58C.
I could not see any others numbers on the a/c.
I hope this helps with your request.
Also in the background is a H-21 and T-6.

Frank Sinatra's Alouette

What I believe to be Frank Sinatra's Alouette helicopter, N533 featured in an episode of The Fugitive, titled 'The Last Oasis',(Series 4 Episode 1 - available on Youtube), being used by the Deputy to chase Richard Kimble(. It appeared in a number of short sequences). The registration can be clearly seen & the dragon/serpent type motif on the front can also be seen.

It may be this one from the Man from UNCLE movie A Spy Too Many (1966). Note the distinctive arrow pattern. It aligns with the N53… analysis. Also from years of trying to discern registrations in sub-prime images, I recon a N533 may just look like a 53C …
