Helicopter w&b mechanical computer?
While talking about "the good old days" ( ;) ), i remembered seeing what i would call a "helicopter weight&balance calculator" mechanical computer, similar to the whizz-wheel/E6B…
It was for the UH1 aircraft, and looked like two sliding rulers with a disc connecting the two. One side was for fuel, the other side for the payload…and it showed you where your CoG was… Has anyone seen this thing, or can remember what it was called? |
Saw it during military service but we never used it.

Circular Slide rules
The mind boggles. This site contains more slide rules than I could ever imagine existed, and these are just the circular ones. I do like the one that doubles as a pencil cup.
John, they seem not to have yours, but I suspect they'd take it off your hands if you find yourself short of pocket money. Slide Rules for sale on-line! Sphere's Circular Slide Rule Page |
Thanks for the input……interesting to see what is out there….
