Job outlook
Good day,
How are the job outlooks for military pilots (1800hrs +) for flying offshore at the north sea area (esp. the Netherlands) at the moment? I hear numerous rumours of a upcoming shortage of (experienced) pilots, is that also the reality or just a rumour? |
I reckon you are in with a very good shout. Personally, I have done initial type rating training recently for new hires with much less experience than that.
|
At which company do you work? And at which base (Aberdeen/DenHelder)?
|
I hear numerous rumours of a upcoming shortage of (experienced) pilots They have been doing so since the 90´s….and it has never been true so far (for most people out there..)… Do you have a civil (EASA) license? Do you have a MET AND a MPH rating? Do you have a (civilian) IR? If yes-apply….. If not-go and get your license first…..an application saying "i am going to get my license in……" will just end up in the paper bin... |
Now is the time to apply. Big three in ABZ have taken on loads recently and continue to recruit.
|
Thks for your reply!
Also got any info about the company's operating in the Netherlands (CHC, NHV, Dancopter)? @Hueyracer yes I do have my licence (CPL(H) no IR yet, able to get in short time). |
AF,
I work at a training centre, and train TRs for most of the big players. |
Ah rgr I misread.
Any idea about dutch company's hiring? |
If you live in NL then why don't you visit CHC or Dancopter and ask them if they are recruiting; and if their not then drop them your cv. You never know, puting a face to a cv is better than a faceless cv!
|
Dancopter and NHV do all their hiring from Esbjerg, respectively Oostende. Not much point dropping your CV in Den Helder.
CHC is probably the only place worth visiting and maybe HeliHolland. |
