advice needed TR self funding
hello All,
i have a few (5) thousand hours of flying, mainly utility (longline seismic and diamond drills) on as350. i was wondering if self funding a TR for a considered large aircraft would be a good idea to evolve in this industry ? or if doing so would be wrongly perceived by a prospective employer... i never did and dont want to work for free, just want to move up... thanks for sharing... |
One always has the wrong type rating.
That said, it should be payed for by the employer. I've held 9 ratings so far and not funded a single one. Big twin will come up soon, back to school...:E Edit: A TR alone might not do the trick. Employers want / need to see 50 or even 100 hours on type in most cases now, which has to do with rules/regulations or customer requirements. |
