Your link is broken because PPRuNe doesn't seem to like any references to bl0gsp0t.

Anyway, here is a google translation of the original (Brazillian) text:

Helicopter leaves the platform and falls into the sea this morning!!

Accident was on the morning of Wednesday
(27) in Macae. crew managed
be saved with the lifeboat.

The NF-Sindipetro confirmed the crash of a helicopter in the Campos Basin, in the city of Macae, North Fluminense. According to information from the union, the accident was on the morning of Wednesday (27) near the platform P-7. The aircraft had a crew of three and all were able to drive the lifeboat and save. The helicopter freighter arrived in time to get a float, but then capsized and sank.

The three crew members were rescued from the boat by workers from P-7 and taken back to the platform. Also according to the Sindipetro, the prefix of the aircraft is HUWBELL 412. The state of health of the crew has not been disclosed. About what might have caused the fall, said Sindipetro you must complete the investigations.

According to communications director Sindipetro, Mark Breda, the agency will participate in the investigation into the case and expects a measure to prevent further accidents.

"The union has the right to participate in the commission of inquiry into serious and fatal accidents Petrobras, we get that from the time of the accident the P-36. The union some years ago, is already reporting problems on aerial structure in the Basin Campos. the last accident deaths in the Campos Basin was in September 2011, in the area of Macae. Since then we have had other incidents, but no deaths and always discussed it with Petrobras, "Breda said in an interview with G1.

The staff tried to contact G1 advising Petrobras, by phone, at 12.05 but failed to answer. The company said it will rule by email via a note.

Arrgggh. The PPRuNe/bl0gspot autocorrection thing is kicking in again. Copy that link into your browser window but replace the ******* with bl0gspot. You will see a photo of a dark blue AW139, floating in the drink, sans tail rotor.

Aw139 ditched macea 27/03

Wel my portugese is not that good, but looking at the picture it is missing its tail rotor (a picture tells more than a thousand words..)

How can it be that not the total 139 fleet is grounded after so many issues with the tailrotor, seems a bit strange after all that happenend with the ec225's

Hopefully everybody got out (it rest nicely on the floats)!

That picture is originally from the Hongkong crash were they blamed a bird strike for the loss of the T/R assembly.

COULD THIS BE A STOCK PHOTO?

The incident reports mention Bell 412 and that picture looks remarkably like the Macau ditching.

Yep---I just took it from the links posted above.... but you are right.

Bell 412, PT-HUW, Lider Taxi Aereo.
Three on board. Everybody walked ... er, swam away.

Is it me just being an old cynic, but why is it that Bristow / Lider always go very quiet following incidents - would this be in keeping with Target Zero .... in the press?! Surely elsewhere we would be clamouring for more information??
