Typical rosters for North Sea ops?

...or is there no such thing as "typical"?

Asking to get a better picture of the Offshore biz, more specifically whether people live close to base or if it is possible to, say, have a room/small place on base and commute home on off periods. Which is obviously unattractive in the long run if you work 5/2...

Thanks already. :)

CHC:

12-9 (in reality it's 4-1-7-9)
4-3
5-2-5-2-5-9

Bond

5-2-7-7

Bristow:

Not sure, but I think:

7-7
5-2-5-9-5-2-6-8

and maybe some others...

Bristow Aberdeen has a large satellite base at Scatsta in the Shetland Islands. Pilots there work approximately 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, but you travel in your own time. So if you live in Europe or further away, you could effectively be 12 days at home and 16 days away.

While working in the Shetlands, the company provides free accommodation and a bit of additional allowances.

The main disadvantage is having to fly the S92.
