Easa

Does anybody know with the new EASA stuff do you still have 3 years to get a Instrument Rating once getting a cpl or have they got away with that now?

Thanks

You will have your CPL, but no IR..

Aucky 23rd December 2012 12:14

you are required to re-sit the 6 ish exams required for the issue of the IR...

Will that give the ATPL theory credits back if those have been gained once?

misterbonkers 24th December 2012 17:16

Martin, last time I checked if you did you ATPLs under JAR amendment 3 then YES. But sadly things keep changing so quickly that even what the CAA tell you may not even be valid by the time you get sorted. good news is though if you did the ATPLs you only have to do 4 exams.

Aucky 24th December 2012 17:19

Yes, the exams last for 3 years for the purpose of IR issue. Your credits for ATPL last indefinitely so long as you have maintained a valid type rating in your CPL. This might help with some clarification http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/470...n-again-2.html

Hello

I have a UK CAA CPL(H) with ATPL theory
Do I need to have passed my IR test bye the date of the 36 months from last passed ATPL exam or "just" started my IR training before that date?

And what happens when EASA is taking over.
I have a valid R44 rating and a expired R22 and H269 rating

Will I have to retake my two ratings again or "just" fly atleast two hours with an instructor before my LPC??

I couldn't find the answers there webpage

Thanks in advanced;)
