Good morning!

I'm looking for a copy of the RFM for the BK 117 B-2. I can't seem to find anything in this thread but the C-1. If you have one, i'd appreciate your help in getting it to me.

Thank you!

Hello and thanks for replying!
I would like to have it preferably in English, but i don't mind if it's in any other language.
The reason i require the manual is for research and personal education reasons, so i don't mind the revision either.
More specifically my research is on the HOT missile employment by Gazelle and the sfim apx m397 sight mounted on it, so preferably, if there is anything about those things, it would suit my needs.

Thanks!

the 342L flight manual that is in english has no reference to sights ect in it. The 342M I believe does but it only comes in French language
there is some sim manuals online that has a load of info in them in English

Can you send me both of them? The L and the M? I tend not to look for the sim manuals since they have some inaccuracies in them. But the L and the M would be helpful i think.

Thanks!

My understanding is that they do not exist. We just put one on our NCC approval and were not able to submit the RFM as part of the application. There are no performance graphs either.....

How does this go by legislation?

FloaterNorthWest 5th July 2024 19:44

Paper RFM do exist. The FAA wouldn’t accept the electronic format so paper manuals were generated.

From TCDS:

Paper format RFM:
Rotorcraft Flight Manual H160-B, first issue, dated 25
June 2020, EASA-approved 1 July 2020, or later approved revisions

There are generic paper manuals and a/c serial specific manuals.

The eRFM is far better. A single data file can have an individual aircraft or a fleet of H160 in a single download. No more adding and removing pages just upload the file. A specific aircraft can be selected by serial number and the manual will contain only supplements and equipment fitted to that aircraft. No more pages and pages of irrelevant supplements. Also, take the floats off, deselect in the app and all reference to the floats is removed from the manual.

It’s a brave new world.
