Landing in Chicago?
 

is there anywhere in the downtown Chicago area to land a helicopter?

I am aware of the Meigs field drama, Ohare and Midway are too expensive and too far away. I have heard there will be an EMS landing area West of downtown late in 2012 if the money is approved.

Is there a Chicago prohibition on landing on private party? With permission could you land at a school or church?

Are there any downtown private heliports that will allow occasional permission for private aircraft to land?

Thanks, I had seen that list. I was hoping to find some other places that maybe were legal, but not recognized by the FAA, etc.

The only one that is downtown and not a hospital is Marcor. Sadly, I have found other references that it is closed and the phone number is disconnected.
