Robinson Fly-in in the UK

I have heard that there has been a Fly-in and BBQ for Robinson Owners in the UK.

Is there any events due for 2010.

Looking forward to any information.

Is it simply coincidence that Top Gear opened series 15 with an article on the '3 wheeled vehicle' and it's inability to avoid incident...

...not to mention the series 9 episode 4 classic, the Reliant Robin Space Shuttle article...

...and Richard Hammond recently going solo in a Robinson...

OK, own up? Nothing with helicopters so far (to Ep03), although I'd have taken the DB over the Maserati

Looking at the rego, I guess Hammo is going to show Capt Slow how to fly properly :ok:

Nigel,

Yawn, Yawn. You need to be much more original if you're going to keep us all awake. You're beginning to sound like the pub bore.... Your broken record Robbo posts now have the effect of everyone shuffling to the other end of the bar!

Oh, correct me if I'm wrong, but a little bird told me you're quite happy to see your son currently learning to fly in the machine you waste so much energy slagging off!! Turbine snobbery disappeared for that decision, no?

nigelh 15th July 2010 16:46

B47 its not actuallt turbine snobbery ( i used to have a 3b1 just like you !!)
I only do this to help prepare Robbo drivers for the stick they are going to get when they get there licence and turn up in an R22
As for my son , well yes , he is doing his licence on a 44 , but he would be very happy to switch to a 47 if you can do one at the same price !!
ps beggars cant be choosers ......

No doubt there'll be some Robbos at the Helicharter (Manston) fly-in this Sat 31st July :ok:

Bournemouth Air - I think you have established a gap in the market. Why don't you organise one yourself? Given your location, speak to Knoll House Hotel at Studland as they should be able to get 12+ Robbos in their field. You could do a fly-in with associated sunbathing on the beach. And that beach in particular, you can offer the R22 flyers a clothed or unclothed section of beach..... ;-)
