Nothing to do with helicopters, but I think this takes the "homebuild" aircraft thing to the extreme....

He has all the multi time under his belt already.
Hes a really nice chap.
I met him skydiving and have known him for many years.
Not a hot head or yahoo in any way.
An excelent Mig pilot with the Swiss Air Force reserve and a Swissair pilot by trade.
He simply came up with this idea and ran with it.
Its been many years in development but it now looks like a whole heap of fun.

Now if he could just link those jets to a gearbox, turn the drive through 90 degrees and add some blades.....I think he might have a winner
