An FAA Licence problem

I was the holder of an FAA private and took my checkride for commercial and was issued by the examiner with a temporary airman certifictae with the usual 120 day expiry.

Problem is that after numerous chase ups to the email "help" line at FAA licencing my 120 days has expired and the only reply I have had from the FAA is a reposnse telling me about the issue of my previous private certificate.

Does anyone know of any numbers where I can talk to a real person and try and get it sorted out.

Also I assume that whilst my temporary has lapsed they can not use this against me and tell my I have to re sit the check ride can they?? I fly for fun so there is no employment issue but clearly I want to try and get this sorted as soon as possible.

thanks in advance

Email them first... then use the local OKC number (toll-free won't work for you from HKG) Airmen Certification Branch normally gets you a response.
This is the link you want. And be persistent.

Thanks for that really helpful. Does anyone have a comment on the fact that my temporary has expired and I don't have the permanent issued. Presumambly they can't claim that my "time has passed" and make me take the flight test again?.... can they??

Contact your examiner, he should be able to issue your another temp cert and get onto the FAA for you.

I've had the same problem and contacted them through the web site's contact form. A real human being replied back to me within a day. I am a Hong Kong gweilo too by the way.
