Id

Hello all.
Just wondering if anyone knows what form of ID the CAA will accept when applying for a the final PPL license.
I have been told passport or birth certificate will do, but guess what, passport's out of date by 5 months and it seems I was never born (can't find birth certificate anywhere)

Probably time to renew the passport then. Don't believe a birth certificate is needed for a renewal.

Probably worth doing being as you're soon going to be a pilot!

I renewed my passport online recently and the whole process only took about a fortnight.

However, if your ID is immediately required, you'd best call them and ask - they might accept photo driving licence.

You can also get a copy of your birth certificate.

You need to have photo ID in order to render your licence valid.

Cheers

renewing your passport

if you are in a rush you can drive to newport (passport office) and they will sort you a new one out there and then (for a fee of course) just ring them to confirm this before you go!!!
