Huge mining project in B.C. uses Mi-26s
|
See you read Vertical magazine aswell. There is a big article in the latest edition about the Mi-26's involvment in Canada, through Airborne energy solutions. :suspect:
MD :ok: |
Just seen this too this morning. Canadian Air-Crane is a division of Erickson Air-Crane operating S-64 so no shock they are objecting as there aren't any other operators using anything bigger than a Shortsky.
I can't see they have a case in terms of equivalence as the interior capacity on a Mi-26 must be a boone, let alone the bigger hook capacity. Bit late to complain too, VIH have used Kamovs for years, though for lower margin logging jobs, and this must be a super-high margin contract. Is Airborne Energy Solutions the company at Whitecourt that does helli-rigging? Who have they teamed with for the aircraft? UTAir? But what is the '"private eye"-style surveillance' comment about? |
