Static unstability 6th August 2007 16:45

Sorry,

My mistake!! I was just somehow fixated on the following in Sub H:

3.515 (a)(1) Helicopters operated in Performance Class 2 are certificated in Category A.

This of course doesn´t mean it has to be in accordance with Cat A masses :ugh:

My appologies,

Static unstability,

...and that illustrates two good points:

(1) the reason for certification in Category A is to permit unlimited flight over a hostile environment. Category A represents a build quality and reliability standard, not just performance data; and

(2) You are quoting from an out of date JAR-OPS 3 - you need to find one that has been amended with AL5.

If you go to www.jaa.nl then select publications you can see Section 1 of JAR-OPS 3 (latest amendment). Unfortunately, it won't show you the IEMs etc, but the basic stuff is there.
Good for insomniacs!!

S/N 6575, C-FORE, went to Germany to obtain temporary reg D-HLEY, then imported to the UK.
It is currently at PAE, Blackbushe, for servicing and mods. Will be operated by Starspeed as G-CEOJ.
