Doing a bit of a project,
Any of you Robo wizards able to divulge some basic data on the R44.
Average disposable load
Cruise speed
Average fuel consumption
Any pertinant limits ie. Start and shutdown, Crosswind and downwind hover
Any major handling problems to watch out for when flying them

Cruise speed for max range is 100 KIAS.
Average fuel consumption is ~60 L/hr, depending on loading.

I am no wizard but own and operate an R44 clipper II regularly.

Average disposable load
4 large adults and full fuel is usually OK (so long as the adults are not called Pavarotti!)

Cruise speed
100-110 Kts

Average fuel consumption
60L/h

Any pertinant limits ie. Start and shutdown, Crosswind and downwind hover
Crosswind not an issue as you can almost always operate into wind on takeoff and ldg. IMHO (and I repeat I am no wizard) over 30 kts wind (at ground level) things can get quite interesting, over 35 kts things become uncomfortable and over 40kts I draw the line.

Any major handling problems to watch out for when flying them
the usual issues, vortex ring, mast bumping as well as other general chopper vices.
