Abu Dhabi Aviation are always on the look out.

Mixed opinions as to work conditions etc, but if you work in Nigeria should be a breeze:)

DUBAI

Thanks for the heads up. Anyone know what the buzz is with Dubai and SAR?
There also seems to be something happening with a 3-5 year program in a non-hostile country 2 months on one off chiefpilot@hbhelicopter and the pay looks excellent?

Unless things have changed with ERA in Alaska....take some crab killer with you as periodically the furniture and living quarters have to have a decontamination.

Three years running the boys were getting eaten alive which prompted the "cure".

ADA has been mentioned. They are loosing staff faster than they can employ them. The reason for this is that they are known for treating their employees like !!!!, period.

If you are refering to the UAE SAR contract, it is being operated by a US company and NO you do not need to be a US citizen. However there are other stiff requirements.

The UAE Sar contract is being done by the world renown helicopter operator Evergreen Helicopters, Inc owned by the illustrious and well loved Delford M. Smith, Esquire.

SASless,

And doesn't the Southern Air Transport gang have some imput there as well?

Greetings

Evergreen has very close ties to some lucrative government contracting and related aviation activities along with other more conventional operations. Southern used to be big in that kind of work but nowadays one cannot begin to identify the flight operations that are similarly connected and some very well known operations do in fact have an interest in unusual contracts. The names and equipment vary but the cast of characters usually have some continuity.

I doubt SAT has anything to do with the SAR contract however.

Rick 1128,
Thanks but I was referring to a recent ad for S61N and Bell412 pilots. I also completed the Evergreen application and have all the required ticked boxes but no reply. I suppose that they have enough people?

On the UAE contract they may be fully staffed right now. But that can and does change, quickly. Plus there are always other contracts. Some do require US citizenship, some do require at least a green card. Some do not require either. The S61 is not being used on the UAE contract at this time. Evergreen's is based in the US.
