In some research we did while looking for a new aircraft it seems to boil down to this. The 333 burns fuel like a Jet Ranger, MX costs halfway between a JR and an R44. So you can roughly figure based on that. Somewhere I have a spreadsheet that sorted it all out, if I find it I'll let you know.
The 333 is really a niche platform - great for utility- patrol, survey, photo, video, light hook work, rides, and turbine training/IFR training. However to carry passengers any distance, you're better off with an R44 or 206, depending on your requirements. |
The last I heard the San Antonio, Texas Police department uses them. They were fairly happy with them the last I heard, which was some time ago.
Conklin and De Decker have pretty good products for operating cost evaluation. Well the worth the expense if you're seriously looking. http://www.conklindd.com/ |
Try talking to TAMS they operate five in the uk, and also operate JR's
