Industrial action in Denmark
Hi guys. .. .Yesterday morning all pilots employed by CHC Denmark went on strike, after the results of a recent ballot turned up an almost unanimous NO-vote to a proposal for a new agreement.. .. .The pilots wants to get their limitations for flight time and duty time on line with other colleagues in the North Sea. Today they do not have any real limits as to how much they can fly in any given day. Many of the pilots exceed 8 flight hours per day. Lots of them fly between 800-1000 flight hours in a year.. .. .They also want to achieve pay parity with colleagues in CHC Scotia and CHC Helikopter Service.. .. .Hopefully, all North Sea pilots come out in support of the Danes.. .. .At present, strike breaking activity is taking place. Some management pilots from Scotia are flying in Denmark. Not good.. .. .Best regards

Everybody should get the flu, so the message get's across : WE ARE UNITED !. .And guess CHC Ireland is the next small. .base to get "hit" with the same BS !

CHC Ireland are due a'presentation' 21 March. Will be interesting to see what 'Da Management' have to say regarding pay and conditions, following on from the rest of the group's 'settlements'!

Last night the CHC Denmark pilots accepted the latest management offer. A new PSA in line with the Aberden PSA (almost). Maximum block time of 8 hours. By March 2003 to be under 800 hours for last 365 days (PSA agreement, NOT FTL limit!) Parity with Aberdeen pay scales by July 2004. Pilots are happy they are going back to work and that the strike is over. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" />
