The Twinstars look to me to be NZ Police, based in Auckland. They've had a change of scheme since I last saw one, but the photo of the one by itself certainly looks like Auckland to me

Thanks , wasnt sure if they were from the USA as twinstars in Police service are few and far between around here.

The first one is of the New Zealand Police AS355 and in fact the one of the single aircraft is actually the highest time AS355 in the world. In addition the unit will be celebrating 20,000 flight hours next month which is a good achievement.

The EC120s are the ones operated by the San Bernadino County Sheriff in California, as is the 212. The other AS350 is Broward County Sheriff. More to come.

Sorry Pac, the you are referring to another. the first one (N109BC - For Broward county, BTW ... ) at top is BSO chopper on patrol along the sofla shoreline.

Larry,

Yes, they got one, However it was fodded out after 2 weeks of use and hasn't flown again yet. Here is the sun-sentinel story:

Haven't seen any pics of it yet, but here is the link to the AV unit page, which has more pics of N109BC:

Just went for my first spin in Northwest Medstars EC135. Great aircraft and ideal for EMS ops. Went up to a town in the mountains. Should have some pics to post soon.

To Pac:
I got my copy of Pacific Rotors to-day.
Thank-you. Interesting article on "LTE".

A minor point; The right hand helicopter on page 41 had an incorrect vector, it should have read 285 degrees instead of the 210 as indicated.

Nice magazine , not much advertising .

Thanks for the comments on the magazine. We try and give readers more stories and pics than ads. Seems to be working so far. Also thanks for the feedback on the error. Will contact the author and let him know.
