Unfortunately more AAC questions !

Thanks to the guys who responded to the last batch !!But I'm still worried about my being too old (27) to be a serious contender and what to expect from aptitude tests from the AAC.

Also what is the differerence between joining the AAC and the Combat Arms AAC? And what other jobs within the AAC would there be should I fail the pilots course....not that I would...? I'm trying to do some voluntary work with my local (Swiss Alps) heli company and would like to some initial pilot training before and during Sandhurst. Will this kind of experience give me a better chance of success?

If all else whats the deal with Bond and Bristow sponsorship; realistic or not?

Cheers Jonboy

Not quite sure what you mean by the "Combat Arms AAC". The AAC is the AAC and that's it.
If you fail the Army Pilots Course as an AAC officer then you are out of a job. The AAC has no jobs for non aircrew officers. The only exceptions are those commissioned from the ranks of the groundcrew, towards the end of their 22yr service. They go on to become Quartermasters/MT Officers/Signals officers etc.
