CPL(H) FAA
 

I am currently the holder of a Class 2 medical certificate. As a result I cannot train for my CPL(H) under the new JAA regulations. I am considering training for the FAA CPL(H) in the USA. If I obtain the licence and return home to Ireland, will it be possible for me to fly using this FAA licence or will I once again be reduced to flying on a PPL(H)?? Someone told me that the helicopter I am flying in Ireland is an N registered craft, I can yet if it is EI I must have a JAA CPL(H).

All depends on why you have a class 2 medical.
Yes if you can obtain a FAA CPL(H)on a class 2 medical you can excersise the priviledges of that licence anywhere in the world,but that will restrict your career somewhat.
Before you part with your hard earned cash think deeply of where you want to go in aviation as you will need a class one for an ATP which is where the industry is now for most jobs.
