Anti-helicopter asses with a difference!
DONKEYS were back on the seafront at Weston-super-Mare yesterday after a one-day strike by all beach attractions over the safety of helicopter rides on the sands.
Strike organisers, who say the flights frighten the animals, reached a temporary agreement with the helicopter operators which saw the landing site moved further down the beach. North Somerset council will attempt to sort the problem out at a meeting in July. Kevin Mager, 50, said his family had run donkeys on Weston beach since 1886, said: "We felt we could not have guaranteed people's safety with the helicopters operating so close." |
Glad to hear that donks can sometimes actually be restarted.

Interesting that Donkeys cant co-exist with Helicopters. Maybe they only get along with the Pilots and someone was getting jealous......
At least the family didnt have to worry about sending kids to the University. |
Perhaps they thought the donk's might fall over following the heli's coming by overhead, like the rumour of the penguins ...
