Heli type query
Apologies for asking an "anorak" question, but I'm only a PPL when it comes to rotaries so hope I'll be forgiven.
I saw a new (to me) heli which had lifted from Battersea this afternoon. Modern, good looking design - spoilt only by a hideous (IMHO) colour scheme. Reg looked like VP-CAF I'd guess one of the new Eurocopters. Anyone know which model? |
fenestron tail and funny yet beautifull skids? quiet ? must be the All new Euocopter ec120 the jetranger crusher!! some naff colours though.
check it out on www.eurocopter.com cant be the ec130 as theres none about , likewise the ec145 if you get a chance id reccomend flying it , its grrrrrrrreat . London helicopter center have one i think. adn i get paid to fly one , god i love my life ciao. :) |
My guess would be the 135 that's based at Redhill, reg is VP-CEO. I guess that's the boss and his deputy.

I think you'll find that VP-CAF is an EC 135 operated by Fayair. The a/c is based at Stansted and is mainly used as corporate transport for Mohammad Al Fayed and his staff.

Tail Skid.
That must have been it - and probably explains the hideous colour scheme! :) [This message has been edited by Hoverman (edited 12 March 2001).] |
Thanks Tail Skid. That was the one.
I've now seen a 135! Looked impressive. |
