not always the noise

Mostly I don't think it's the noise anyway, just seeing is enough to make some folks complain.

Can't complain about seeing, so they say it is noisy or say it is low.

Some kind of invasion psychology. Or jealousy.

So making the bird quieter might help, but doesn't fix it for the expert whinger.

And oddly sometimes more traffic might help in some situations, because people get used to it and tune out.

Chips
Was your post by any chance intended for the "Why are Brits so anti helicopters" thread? http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/For...ML/000775.html

If not, hope you're feeling better soon! :)

Correct, should have been that thread.
Correct, wrong button.

Been known to do that while flying too.

A number of operations have changed to different helicopters because of noise issues and it sometimes works to their advantage. If you have all the balls in your court it helps a lot when trying to show just cause that you have taken all the steps you can.
