Helicopters in Indian Floods?

Have heard thru the grapevine that quite a few Helos have been flood damaged in India last week, AS365's ,S 76's and 412's , does anyone know anything else???

Heard a bit more approx a dozen 365's with Pawan Hans flood damaged and several S76's and 412 with other operators.

That is very sad to hear.

I understand from contacts in Singapore that two Bell 212s have arrived there over the weekend for major refurbishment following the damage they sustained in the recent floods in Mumbai.

The insurers will probably have to pick up a hefty bill but I guess the helicopters will be returned to service looking like new.

They should then be good for another ten years service. As they say “It is an ill wind….”
