Has anywere contact to mechanics and/or Pilots who has flown the XT244 in his military time? I will offer for a exPilot a vacation in switzerland and of course a few hours on this ship. Thanks for any contact ... Regards http://www.ils-online.ch/cgi-bin/alb...1500-small.JPG |
XT :
there is in France a specialist of B47 that operated at the ALAT and, after, operated a pretty amount of B47 for crop spraying. His name is Aimé Fabregat and owend a helico company called "tourraine helicoptères". I know he was reknown as a specialist for all B47 overhaul & maintenance operations in France and more. I don't know if he is retired ot not. cheers |
I am not sure whether I have flown this machine when serving in the Army Air Corps until I have found my old log books to have a scan through. However, you could contact the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop who may be able to identify which unit operated this Sioux and where it did its' military service. I have about 3500 hours on the Sioux mostly as an insrtuctor but this tail number doesn't seem familiar to me. I have the typical Sioux stoop from the unergonomic seating. I enjoy flying the old beasts except if I need to go somewhere fast. Nice to see a photo of the 3B1. I will be in contact.

No doubt you have google searched, however pages like this may jog peoples memories. Interesting to read about her sister ships under the picture. Regards, SS |

As hinted at by MightyGem, the Army Air Corps (AAC) is strictly republican.
