In the middle of the storm

My step-daughter's off to Mexico on Friday, Playa del Carmen. She's rather worried it won't be left standing after the storm's passed. According to the Hurricane Center, I think it's due to head North, but it appears that it's brushed the Yucatan peninsula. Can anybody in that neck of the woods let me know what, if anything, has happened, please ?

Just tell your step-daughter to come down here and don't worry about it.

She might see some downed signs or such but everything else is normal!

Thanks BP. Unfortunately, it would appear she won't be coming after all - her boyfriend was playing football last night and broke his leg in two places. His suffering of last night and today will be as nothing compared to when he's out of Hospital and she can get her hands on him !!
