Student Loans for CPL
 

Just read that a kiwi heli student spent $136,000 in one year obtaining his CPL (H) + add ons. All the money was obtained by student loan scheme. Apparantly this Student Loan scheme has made a lot of training organisations very busy due to the easy access to money for students.

Do the operaters need to be a bit more responsible?? or is it all good. If Students are silly enough to burden themselves with this kind of debt, then that is there fault.

Also the influx of even more newbie CPL's must make it hard for the people who have saved and sacrificed to do the course.

$136,000 must get some pretty usefull (or useless) endorsements. They could be the highest qualified 150 hour pilot in the World.
