Investigators At Crash Site
04/01/2003 06:46 AM IRN Crash investigators are to examine the wreckage of a helicopter today, in which the pilot was killed. Gisborne police say the 52-year-old man died at the scene yesterday afternoon, in bush at Motu, southeast of Opotiki. He was the only person on board. The Iroquois belonged to an Auckland company. It lost control after completing a drop-off of logs, crashing into a culvert and catching fire. The Civil Aviation Authority is to carry out an investigation into the crash. |
I just got an email from home, as I am here in PNG and was told the name is public but instead of being hammered for spelling it out, initials are GW and he live in Pukekohe. PM if you want any more info.
