Let me help you with translation.

Yep, realised charities have at least half an eye open with their budget, the government on the other hand... well a few texts to your mates and fannys your aunt

Worst company I every had to work for. I too left and still keep in touch with mates trapped at the mo. Cost cutting and reallocation of duties, yet with visits to the airfield from managers self praising and a site manager stroking their egos. Morale is on the floor and biding time until the contract ends when hopefully somebody else will be awarded the the military contract. Moan over.

No UK SAR bid then or is that too big an opportunity to miss?

Can remember that bashing of big company god name was not very popular here.
Examples like babCocking of 50-60 young pilots in 2016-17. after take over of nice small Operator and ATO in Germany. With few step on some thumbs in LBA and EASA, finally in 2018 company closed - end of Babcock MCS Germany. |
I’m sure their legal dispute with Sikorsky is costing a tidy penny or two.

Ah, Rigga - I wondered what that aroma was! Can't imagine that the sons of the founder of the pre-Avicii (sorry... Avin_whatever) company are waiting in the wings to carry out a 2nd re-purchase, though.

From the linked article:
They also pioneered the UK’s first night Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) operations to unsurveyed HEMS sites with Babcock pilots flying with specialist night-vision goggles. I'm pleased they thought to add the qualifier/rider at the end; Wiltshire and Sussex were both operating to unsurveyed HEMS sites at night back in the early 2000s ("noughties"?), but they weren't BabMishCritCock(Unsure) and they weren't using NVG. |

I believe the EAAA were NVG equipped from 2014? Certainly the aircraft were, if not the allowance to use it.

Chopper,
Thank you for confirming that. I remember it leaving Staverton... |
Bond were only running their NVG intro trials for EAAA in Spring 2013.
