H135 Helionix Help
 
Hi all

Cheeky one - does anybody on here fly the 135 with Helionix?

It is to help develop a model in the latest Microsoft simulator (I do not work for Microsoft!) helping the developers work on a freeware model.

Ideally - I know this is very very cheeky - would anybody have a Helionix manual for the 135?

Quick one though - for your engines start switch - do you have 1 for ENG1, 1 for ENG2 and a separate FADEC switch? Or do ENG1 and ENG2 switches automatically initiate the FADEC?

Potentially will pay for an hour or two of somebody's time who can answer more questions!!!

Looks like standard Eurocopter engine switches - OFF, IDLE, FLIGHT.

BigLittle,

No FADEC switches, the FADECs are powered when the battery master is turned on.

There are a few Videos on You Tube showing 135 Starts. There is a FADEC switch for each side beside the START switches. In this video the pilot switches one on.
I am not familiar with all the differences on Helionix models

Well,
That will be quite a mission....
I only know the Helionix from the 145 - which looks identical.
And that is not only quite a bunch of pages in the FLM - its also an integration of all systems.
On the FloaterNorthWest picture you only have some of the available screens.
The FND (Flight Nav Display) on the right and left MFD
In the middle the VMS - Vehicle monitoring System
Depending on the Displays available (working) there are different switching possibilities and even the FND can look different, if you hit the SVS button on the bottom right....
The GTN750 gives information to the Nav-Display but also to the Moving Map - informations from the GPS work together with the fuel burn to give you the remaining fuel at landing ie

Not on the 135 Flying Bull. The manual mode switch freezes the affected engine stepper motor. The pilot then varies the power with the collective mounted throttle. The same as the legacy aircraft but the switch has moved from the overhead panel to the Engine Control Panel. There is no ‘Ultimate Back-up’ mode like the 145.

Thank you so much for all the responses.... oddly I noticed EC135 have Counter-Clockwise rotation. But many of the single engine airbus variants have the usual clockwise.

So I assume H135 is counter-clockwise and left pedal needed to lift (same as bell products)?

also - can I ask what the "Vent" would be for? I assume this for hot starts and lowering temp prior to start if needed?

Yes, the EC135/145 have german roots ( MBB 105, 108 and 117 ), therefore counterclockwise.

You assume right.
Vent is for turning the turbine without initiating the start sequence - ie to bring temperature down for starting

Of course there is not a published limit for engine temp pre-starr so practically it's probably only going to be used for maintenance (eg engine rinse) or for blowing out a post-shutdown tailpipe fire.

But there is no published TOT limit for initiating an engine start like in the BO105. In the BO you have to vent the engine before starting to reduce the TOT

not TOT but for engine oil
there is one limit - but seldom a problem here ;-)
guess, ventilation wouldn’t help either to increase to above -30 degrees so

Left skid low - approximate tilt angle?
 
For a popular sim flight modelling project - is anyone able to provide an approximation or even detailed model as to the deck tilt in the x axis on the H135 on lift off. This is for modelling left skid low purposes at lift off / set down. Thanks!
