Considering they have sold so many, I am a little surprised that they have extended the availability of 2:1 Zoom sessions with prospects.

This toy is fun to play with but it seems really premature to release a configurator when there is not even a flying prototype. There is not even a non-flying prototype. Gives the impression they're more focused on wooing investors than on actually building an aircraft but I hope that impression is wrong.

.
Got to admit I like the collective console with an armrest ..... and the way the cyclic appears to go forward and upward behind the dash .... nothing obstructing the pilots legs. . |
Cyclic control stick non-sense, I don't need a plastiky Lexus like cockpit.
I want this bellow with precision switches that work forever and grips made of MIL spec material Crouzet is a great maker that will make sure it does not break in my hand. (as in the bell 505 cost down collective stick :( ) https://www.otto-controls.com/-/medi...lic-web-a.ashx OK I give you the catalog link, know some these switches cost more than my payckeck http://cdn.crouzet-aerospace.com/ass...og_Cockpit.pdf |
I sat in on a Q&A with Jason Hill. 60 others from around the world.
Lots of tough questions from (initial sceptical) potential buyers. Question on commercial and technical viability of the company and the aircraft. Jason shared a letter from CAA, supporting the approval approach Hill helicopters is taking. Overall the was a very compelling 3 hour Q&A. Currently 150 aircraft soled, current price £395k + VAT. would suggest anyone interest sceptical or not, they sit in on one of these Q&A sessions Looking at setting up a 3 person UK group Steve |
This is all fine... regular Q&A and new microsites full of beautifull computer generated renderings. How about some solid specs (other than the price and a wish list drawn out by marketing) and also a proof of concept that flies.
looking back Kopter (former Marenco Helicopters) had the same aproach and themselves pioneered the "all rendering" aproach to gartner interest and it worked for them, so i am waiting to see how it turns out for Hill Helicopter. Same way I am waiting to see how Bitcoin finishes the year. (the parralel has a purpose) |
