Ouch! They were very lucky it stayed on the deck and didn't roll into the sea!
Oops, now push it into the sea and buy another one.
Very lucky and looks VERY VERY expensive $$$$$$$$$$

I have seen large helicopters in a far worse state than that and they were back on line within six months.
Fareastdriver the ROnAF AW101 that ended up on it's side is back in service, but it took a year. Regardless, I'm sure it can be rebuilt.
Seen worse described as a heavy landing. I'm sure it will buff out.

It's done.
That class is better supported by a pair of NH-90s anyway. |
It would be interesting to know what experience levels the pilots have. Some of those guys and girls fly very few hours per year. |
