NSW RAFT Crews At Work

Just for those that are interested added another album of images from here on the NSW fires. Shot one of the RAFT BK117s extracting the crews and the EC145 doing some bucket work.

Totally agreed, situations like that separate the men from the boys, those firefighters look exhausted.

'Strewth. God knows how many crocs and platypus's have been scooped up and dropped on the fires by now!

Thanks KiwiNedNZ :ok:

Just on 22 years since I put the BK-117 on to the NSW fires in Khancoban, the first BK ever to do fire work. All these years later it is still the weapon of choice for the RFS, a testimony to machine

Needless to say there was a lot of 'learning on the job' in those days!
