CareFlight QLD Helicopter Rescue
 

Hi there

I am doing some research on the history of the various rescue helicopter services in Australia. One that confuses me historically is the CareFlight QLD, now LifeFlight. On their Timeline that have a starting date of 1981 but from what I can gather, they only broke away from Surf Life Saving Queensland in 1991 to set up their new company. Can any ex-pilots or crew from the 1990's flying with Gold Coast Helicopter Rescue Service, come CareFlight Queensland, help out with my research?
