One less Cabri in America

This place had the only Cabri I knew of near me. They say a lack of qualified instructors is why they closed? Hard to believe considering CFIs here are a dime a dozen?

Robbiee, They said it was a lack of CFI's AND the increased costs of operating at John Wayne Airport.....which as we all know is in the not so great State of California which adds to the cost of doing business as compared to most of the rest of the Country.

Does a thinly-veiled political dig at California really enhance the discussion here?

Does the reality of the high cost of doing business constitute "politics" or "economics"?

The owner of the business cited the increased cost of doing business as one of the reasons it closed down.

If you want to twist It into politics that is for you to do.

I see it as the State of California is seeing businesses and those who own them or run one....seeking alternatives to staying in California.

California ranks 49th in this Report which might begin to explain part of the reasoning behind so many businesses going outside the State.

The good news is California has a positive rating when it comes to starting a business....the question is how many fail, close, or move as compared to other States.

Perhaps there were also ramifications associated with the accidents and FAA issues that had some effect on their business. Consider that those issues alone might have made them effectively un-insurable at any reasonable cost. No doubt there is far more going on than what is described in the article.

Don't worry, Anthelion in Long Beach has a Cabri G2. I haven't flown with them yet but they seem reputable and have lots of good reviews.
