I didn't see this posted, but as always I'll delete if it's an oldie:

Oooohh overpitched the bejeeezusss out of that

With these videos, as soon as I first hear the sound of the Robo-copter, everything that comes after seems to be predictable and inevitable. And on this occasion, the pilot didn't do much piloting at the bottom there.

nomorehelosforme 16th Feb 2019 23:13

Another Robinson bites the dust! Where did this happen?

gulliBell 16th Feb 2019 23:32

Who knows. Mexican and American accents at the end of the on-board recording there....

Evil Twin 16th Feb 2019 23:49

Why the hell is it that every time you hear the low rpm horn they never lower the lever, roll on and fly away? FFS that was hammered into me when I was early in my career and flying robbies. They just seem to keep pushing on hoping that the problem will go away or fix itself.

Yeah, gosh, when I put "helicopter crash" into YouTube the only things I see are videos of Robinsons--not! All types crash. All types can be and are poorly piloted.

Because the ones where they do it right aren't worth posting on the internet, apparently. Not dramatic enough! Of course it would be even better to not have to take corrective action at all, and those videos are even less interesting.

Its always the 44! Like that article asks, "What's wrong with R44 pilots?"

This keeps up and Kurt will have to hire Queen to score the next ad. :ugh:

Very droll, the point I was trying to make is that none of these people EVER do anything to recover that lost RPM, they just keep pulling collective and riding it in to the scene of the crime.

Exactly my thoughts too.

Door off and a motivated camera pan, maybe a film job?
Fuel cells thankfully are doing the job...

I like the revving engine at the end

As if the engine wants to hammer home the fact that it was not the reason the machine crashed!

homonculus 18th Feb 2019 17:20

During a flight of tourists, apparent loss of power.
I suspect loss of common sense

Ancient Mariner 18th Feb 2019 18:16

Another Robinson down in Norway yesterday, two dead. Sorry, no useful links.

Amen. Lack of situational awareness and piloting. Stupid and unnecessary.
