BELL 206 Replacement seats

I'm looking to replace the old style frame-less cushions on my B206 with some new ones from a company in New Zealand called Genration Global. https://shop.generation-global.com
Does anyone have any experience with these guys? I.E. seat quality, comfort, durability, certifications (Canada)...?
Their prices and delivery are excellent, they have awesome looking product and they have an online tool for designing and ordering your interior for many different aircraft and models.

We have had two sets done in leather for our JRs. Very nicely done and have lasted pretty well. Not doing high hours in the machines, so can’t tell u what they will look like after thousands of hours of use.

they also do carpets, door panels, etc all to match, and will even put your own logo, or anything u want into the seat backs to personalise your machine if you plan on keeping it for a while.

Thanks Super F.
Are the ones you have the older style frame-less seats with just cushions?
How about comfort (compared to other JR seats...relatively speaking)?
I was considering upgrading to the newer framed seats that are "crash worthy" but not sure if the expense is justified.

Have you considered Oregon Aero Seats?

Look them up if you have not done so yet.

Yes I contacted them a while back and they said there would be certification issues with a Canadian registered aircraft and specified that all aircraft must be US registered. They also stated that they cannot supply cushions that can be installed by the customer and that all work would need to be done at their repair station.
Their seats are excellent... its too bad.

Also, I looked at many other suppliers and almost all of them only provide burn certification for the materials, nothing else. Seeing that these are basically new seats since there is no frame, just a stiff backing, I would expect some testing or docs would be required to satisfy the TSO-127a crash worthiness requirements. Its an older machine so I'm not even sure if those requirements apply.... Any ideas?

Tis a shame we are two Nations separated by a common language and border!

Sorry...all out of ideas on this one.

Ramm Aerospace do seating for the Bell 206 series, FAA STC as well as TCCA and EASA. Home - RAMM AEROSPACE

I checked our Ramm Aerospace and they are under consideration but their prices are steep. .
The seats from Generation Global seem to be much nicer and the price is less than half even with leather.
I'm not sure how the quality and comfort compare though..

I am surprised at Oregon Aero, they made some seats for some of our 500's with no problem at all

hyperflyboy 15th Oct 2018 00:14

Hughes500,
They sent me a long email, a little bit convoluted. I asked about frame-less seats which they mentioned in the first sentence then went on at length to describe their process for covering seat frames and indicated in bold font that the aircraft needed US registration. Perhaps it was related to the certification docs. They did provide me with a pricing list. I did not mention that the aircraft was Canadian registered.
It is possible I misinterpreted what they were trying to say. I will give them a call on the phone to clear this up.
Thanks for the input.

ours were the crash worthy seats, they just changed the covers, and re cushioned them. comfort was the same.
