RCAF Griffon drops raft on woman's home in Florida
|
Is the raft be carried internally or externally?
|
A helicopter full of Canucks in Florida, probably the first time they've ever flown with the doors open!!:)
Good outcome to a bad incident, the roof can be repaired. |
Maybe she was drowning?
|
Close call, she came very close to being seriously injured or killed.
|
How does the saying go.....?
"Someone got some explaining to do!" Thankfully the outcome was not serious for the lady! |
The raft is packed in a rectangle about 2' by 4' by 1' and probably weighs 70lbs or so.
It is carried internally and usually cargo strapped to the cargo rings in the floor of the cabin. They are likely down there doing water hoisting training and had to move it out of the way of the hoist...normally done with the door closed up here, so not an issue. They must have had the doors pinned open down in the balmy climes but we'll see what the investigation reveals. |
